Open the merchant and check its source

Open a supported merchant website and then open Hey Codes from the Chrome toolbar. Browse the compact offer cards for a title, discount, promo code, official source and review date. Open the official source to check the merchant’s current terms for your order.

Check that the offer is current

The browsing and copying edition refreshes the offer before copying. If the code or its version changed, the offer was withdrawn, or current data cannot be checked, select a current offer again. Cached offers are for reference when the service is unavailable; they are not permission to use an unverified old code.

Copy, then paste manually

Hover over the bordered promo code to see “Click to copy”, then click the code itself. You can also focus it and press Enter. Paste it into the merchant’s checkout and apply it using the merchant’s own control. The current public package does not fill fields, click Apply, replace an existing code or complete a purchase. Keep a note of an existing code before replacing it manually.

Confirm the actual result

A pasted code is not a confirmed discount. Read the merchant's response, then check the eligible items, currency, purchase term and final total. An accepted code can still leave the total unchanged for your selected products. Confirm the result before authorizing payment.

If a code is rejected

If a code is rejected, check the purchase type, domain extension or plan, account rules and offer period. Do not create false accounts to evade eligibility requirements. A No code needed offer may be reflected in the listed price, but you must still check the conditions and final total. If the result is unclear, consult the official source or merchant support.

The three steps in the current extension

  1. Open a listed merchant site, then open Hey Codes. Check the title, product, review date and official source.
  2. Click the bordered code, or focus it and press Enter or Space. The extension refreshes the listing before copying the exact code.
  3. Paste it yourself at checkout. Use the merchant's apply control and confirm its message and final total before paying.

A practical failure checklist

  • Does the official source still show the same code and product?
  • Is the offer for registration, transfer, renewal or another service?
  • Do your account, domain ending, term and currency meet the stated conditions?
  • Is another promotion already present, or is this a code-free price?
  • Did the final total actually decrease after any merchant acceptance message?

The website can also copy a displayed code. The extension's fresh-data check does not test your account or order. See the extension overview for permissions, language and cache controls.
